EFFORTS TO INCREASE MATHEMATICS LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH QUANTUM TEACHING LEARNING METHODS

Abstract


This research is motivated by several problems found by researchers including: the lack of use of learning methods, students are less active in participating in learning activities, low learning outcomes. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the mathematics subject matter of integers in elementary schools by using the Quantum Teaching learning method. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle was carried out in one meeting. The data collection technique used is test and observation, the test given is 31 questions in the form of multiple choice. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. In the pretest, it was found that the average value was 50.75, and the classical completeness level was 29.41%. In the posttest cycle I, there was an increase after using the Quantum Teaching learning method with an average value of 66.55 and a classical completeness level of 52.95%. And after the actions taken and given posttest cycle II, 15 students who completed their learning outcomes and 2 students who did not complete the posttest obtained with the average value of posttest in the second cycle increased to 76.86 and the classical completeness level reached 88.22%.
