RELEVANCE OF MATERIAL CONTENT RANCAGÉ DIAJAR BAHASA SUNDA TEXTBOOK CLASS VII SMP/MTs ON REGIONAL CURRICULUM

Abstract


In teaching and learning activities, books have a very important and inseparable role. The use of appropriate textbooks greatly affects the success of the teaching and learning process. The existence of textbooks is able to help students to achieve the expected learning objectives. Therefore, this research is motivated by the importance of researching Sundanese textbooks. The purpose of this study was to describe the relevance of the contents of the Sundanese language teaching textbook for class VII SMP with the 2013 regional curriculum which was revised in 2017. The method in this study was a qualitative research using descriptive method. The data collection technique used is documentation. The instrument used is a check list. The source of research data is the textbook Rancagé Diajar Basa Sunda for class VII of SMP/MTs. The result found is that the Rancagé Diajar Basa Sunda has a fairly good level of relevance. Of the 8 material chapters, there are 2 relevant material and 6 less relevant material. Materials that have relevant categories are in Chapter 1 of Paguneman and Chapter 8 of Sundanese Script. While the less relevant categories are the 2nd Chapter of Kaulinan Barudak, 3rd Chapter of Pupujian, 4th Chapter of Pangalaman Lalampahan Pribadi, 5th Chapter of Dongéng Sasakala, 6th Chapter of Iklan Layanan Masyarakat, and 7th Chapter of Sajak.
