Students' Ability To Solve Linear Equation System In Two Variables: Systematic Literature Review

Abstract


The system of linear equations of two variables is contextual material in learning mathematics. But there are facts that show there are still errors and difficulties experienced by students in the problem of the system of linear equations of two variables. The purpose of this study was to conduct a literature review on the ability, errors and difficulties of students on the problem of the system of linear equations of two variables. This research uses the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection in this study was carried out by reviewing all articles related to mathematical abilities, errors and difficulties of students on the problem of the system of linear equations of two variables published from 2019 to 2023. Based on the results of the study, it was found that students' ability to solve the problem of two-variable linear equation system was still low. Students still make many mistakes in understanding the problem and converting it into a mathematical model, carrying out the plan or process, performing calculations and often ignoring the evaluation of the results obtained.

 

Sistem persamaan linear dua variabel adalah materi yang kontekstual dalam pembelajaran matematika. Tetapi terdapat fakta yang menunjukan masih ditemukan kesalahan – kesalahan dan kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam masalah sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan kajian literatur tentang kemampuan, kesalahan dan kesulitan siswa pada masalah sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mereview semua artikel yang berkaitan kemampuan matematis, kesalahan dan kesulitan siswa pada masalah sistem persamaan linear dua variabel yang diterbitkan dari tahun 2019 sampai dengan 2023. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah sistem persamaan linear dua varibel masih rendah. Siswa masih banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam memahami soal dan mengubahnya dalam model matematika, melaksanakan rencana atau proses, melakukan perhitungan dan seringnya mengabaikan terhadap evaluasi hasil yang di dapat.
