Improving Tolerant and Learning Outcomes Through The Implementation of The Discovery Learning Model at Pre-service Teacher Elementary School

Abstract


This study aims to: (1) to improve tolerant behaviour and (2) student learning outcomes by applying discovery learning models in the Basic Concepts of Sociology, Anthropology and History lectures at Elementary School Pre-service Teacher of Bengkulu University. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). CAR stages are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed that the application of the discovery learning model to the Basic Concepts of Sociology, Anthropology and History lectures could improve: (1) tolerance behaviour and (2) student learning outcomes at PGSD FKIP Bengkulu University. The suggestion is that lecturers who teach courses other than Basic Concepts of Sociology, Anthropology and History should apply the discovery learning model because it will provide direct experience to students.
