This study aims to improve the behavior and learning outcomes of science through the cooperative type STAD model for class VI SD Negeri 003 Pulau Permai Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar, Tambang District, Kampar District. The formulation of the problem in this study was "Is the use of the STAD type cooperative model able to improve the behavior of IPA activities and learning outcomes of class VI SD Negeri 003 Pulau Permai Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar. The subjects in this study were grade 6 students of SD Negeri 003 Pulau Permai Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar, which numbered 34 students, namely 18 male students and 16 female students. This research consisted of II cycles and 4 meetings. Each meeting consists of 4 actions, namely: planning, action, observation and assessment, and reflection. The results showed that the behavioral data of students' learning activities in the first cycle were very good at 37.50% and the second category was very good at 81.25% (an increase of 43.75%). For learning outcomes in the first cycle, the average completed 75.29% and the second cycle 96.48% (an increase of 21.19%). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the cooperative use of the STAD type can improve the behavior of science learning activities and results of class VI students of SD Negeri 003 Pulau Permai Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar.
