THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT WORKSHEETS BASED ON REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION IN CLASS IV FRACTIONS MATERIAL

Abstract


This study aims to develop student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education that are valid, effective and practical. The type of research used in this research is Research and Development (R & D) with a 4D development model, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The subjects used in this study were class IV with a total of 23 students. The instruments used in this study were learning tools, namely lesson plans, and student worksheets as well as data collection instruments, namely validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, test sheets and observation sheets. Based on the validity analysis based on data filling in the instrument by expert and practitioner tests both in terms of design and material, it shows that student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education are assessed with an average score of 4.3. The results of the analysis of student activity observations in the use of student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education obtained an average of 90.83%. Based on the results of observations on the implementation of learning, 93.75% were carried out from all learning activities. The results show that the N-gain score is 0.79 and the percentage value of Gain is 79%. Based on the results of the teacher‘s response, an average score of 4.4 and the student’s response was obtained by an average score of 4.50. So it can be concluded that the student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education are valid, effective and practical to use in learning.
