TEACHERS AND STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS ON LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract


This study aims to explain the perceptions of teachers and students about limited face-to-face learning (PTMT) during the Covid-19 pandemic.This research is a quantitative descriptive research using survey. Respondents in this study were teachers who carried out learning and high school students who participated in limited face-to-face learning in the even semester of 2021/2022. There are 19 teacher respondents and 49 student respondents. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using percentage and mean analysis of respondents' answers. The mean analysis is made in the form of a scale range. The results indicate that the limited face-to-face learning (PTMT) can be effective, teachers found it easy to implement PTMT, teachers and students liked PTMT more than online learning. In addition, the results of the study also show that PTMT can create a pleasant learning atmosphere, involvement of students in learning, creating passion or enthusiasm in learning, not making students lazy in learning, students can concentrate on learning, students are more serious in participating in learning, easier to understand the subject matter, and there is good reciprocal interaction and communication between teachers with students. Teachers and students during the Covid-19 pandemic want learning to be carried out face-to-face although it is still limited.
