Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of PPKn students in grade 1 of SD Negeri 004 Teratak Buluh. For this reason, classroom action research was carried out by applying the TGT cooperative learning model. This research was conducted at SDN 004 Teratak Buluh Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar. The research subject was grade 1 students consisting of 23 students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation sheets and student learning outcomes. The results showed that the average increase in the percentage of teacher activity in the first cycle of meetings (1 and 2) was 62.50%. Then increased at meetings (3 and 4) to 68.70%. The second cycle of meetings (5 and 6) increased to 78.13% and meetings (7 and 8) increased to 84, 38%. The average increase in the average activity of students in the first cycle of meetings (1 and 2) was 68.70%. Then it increased at the meeting (3 da 4) to 78.13%. The second cycle of meetings (6 and 7) was 81.25%, increasing at meetings (8 and 9) to 87.50%. The students' PPKN learning outcomes from the basic score to the first cycle are from an average of 53 to 70 and in the first cycle to the second cycle, from an average of 70 to 80. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of Teams Games Tournaments Cooperative Learning Model (TGT ) can improve the PPKN Learning Outcomes of Class I Students of SDN 004 Teratak Buluh Kecamatan Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar.
