Abstract

This research is a classroom action research. The meeting in this study was designed in two cycles where each cycle consisted of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The population used is grade IV SDN 011 Kembang Harum, Kecamatan Pasir Penyu, Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu in the first semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The sample used was 39 students consisting of 19 men and 20 women. The instruments used in retrieving data were obtained from the results of the performance tests displayed by students during the test. The results of this study indicate that through the approach of playing frog ball can improve students' abilities in learning long jumps. The results of the data obtained from long jump learning through the approach of playing frog ball in grade IV students of SDN 011 Kembang Harum, Kecamatan Pasir Penyu, Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu are students whose initial ability has an average of 65.38 to 71.79 with a percentage of completeness of 69.23% after being given action on cycle I, then continued in cycle 2, there was an increase in the average student's long jump ability which was 74.48 where as many as 34 students or 87.17% students reached the specified KKM.
